Argument was an early vessel that operated on the waterways in and around Sydney carrying passengers and goods.She was owned by two men by the name of Ward and Wheaton in 1803 and by 805 was under the ownership of a gentleman by the name of Peat from the Hawkebury area..

She was known at this time to carry passengers to and from Mullet island in the Hawkebury.

She was lost in a squall on the Hawkebury in late March 1809.
