Regent
Star was built for Charles Rosman and was operated by him until
being offered for sale in November 1950. Purchased by Stannard
Brothers, she was re-engined in 1951 and renamed to
Nowra in February 1951.
At a later stage she was sold to the Hawkesbury River and renamed again
to
Challenger Head.
Following yet another sale, this time to Tasmania, she was renamed to
Kangaroo.
She is now called Emma Lisa and is owned by Captain Fells Historic
Feeries who also run a vessel called
Regent Star (ex
Miss
Hinchinbrook) (Andrews).
She is still in service and regularly carries passengers between the
Hobart docks and Wrest Point Casino as well as catering to the tourist
trade.
