Clifton was an
experimental double stepl planing hull high speed ferry designed by Mr
I J Wackett and built by the Cockatoo Dockyard. Built of mahogany and
maple, she was a concept vessel being pushed to Sydney Ferries Limited
to operate between Circular Quay and Clifton Gardens.
The vessel was not accepted by Sydney Ferries Limited, instead their
new vessels would be the three Water Buses built by Morts.
There is, unfortunately, no record of what happened to this vessel.
