Despatch
was one of four vessels (the others being Grand Admiral, Midget and Florrie Ellison) that was operated
in opposition to the main Manly company for a brief time in 1888 by the
Manly Beach New Steam Ferry Company.
Little is recorded of either the vessels or their operator.
