Falcon was built in 1928 as a motor launch for A Sutton of Brooklyn and was sold back to her builder briefly in 1942.
Later in 1942 she was sold to the Port Jackson and manly Steamship Company for use in their Pittwater service and was then sold again in 1951 to Church Point Ferry Service.
In december of 1951 she was renamed to Elvina.
