Dear members, volunteers and supporters,
Next working bee is on Saturday the 21st of May. Please note that this is an "on" weekend for us.
Weather is forecast to be mostly sunny and between 12 & 23 degrees - not too bad for this time of the year!.
If you can attend it would be appreciated. If you're planning on coming, why not bring a friend along too ? All hands are very welcome.
Make sure if you plan on coming that you bring something for lunch. Tea and coffee facilities are on board as are cooking facilities and you’re welcome to stay for dinner (you need to tell us though so we can lay in supplies).
Permanent water is available on the boat for drinking and cleaning.
Pickup is from either the usual wharf in Waverton Bay (end of steps at Horace St) or if you don’t want to manage the steps we can collect you from the public boat ramp at Greenwich. The pickup time is flexible as there will be someone there early on Saturday (from around 8am).
If you plan on coming let us know either by contacting
volunteer@savethebaragoola.com or by calling me on 0405 945 465.
There is an enormous amount of work occurring at the moment and we are accelerating several areas; we really need lots of people to assist with tasks such as painting and roof work - so even if you can only come for an hour or two it'd be great.
Also, we have started patching the hull - rewarding work but it needs "all hands" on deck - so for this extremely important task we'd ask anyone who is available to pitch in and gives us a hand this weekend.
Haven't been down for a while ? Come along for a look - you'll be quite impressed at the huge changes that have been effected!
