Psyche was originally owned By John Watson who operated her on the
Annandale & Balmain routes. She eventually passed into ownership of
the Balmain New Ferry Company after the amalgamation of the various
Balmain services in the late 1800's. It was at this time (1898) she was
renamed to "The New Era" (possibly an indication of the new company's
high hopes for their ferry services).
In 1907 she was renamed again, this time to "Drummoyne".
After the takeover of the BNFC by Sydney Ferries Ltd, she does not
appear
to have survived for too much longer. She was broken up or hulked by
1924.
